Data Engineer - Power BI and Azure Databricks

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in data engineering and a minimum of 3 years specializing in Power BI and Azure Databricks. This role requires expertise in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade data, analytics, and AI solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Build and optimize data pipelines to support advanced analytics and AI solutions using Azure Databricks.
2. Data Integration: Connect diverse data sources into a unified platform, ensuring seamless data flow for processing, storage, analysis, and modeling.
3. Power BI Development: Design and implement Power BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models that deliver actionable insights.
4. Solution Deployment: Deploy enterprise-grade data solutions at scale, ensuring robustness, security, and accessibility for diverse business stakeholders.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure data solutions align with organizational objectives.
6. Monetizing Data Assets: Enable the organization to derive value from datasets by creating models and systems to share, analyze, and monetize data.
7. Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance and scalability of data solutions to support evolving business needs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer; at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI and Azure Databricks.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Azure Databricks for data integration, processing, and modeling; advanced knowledge of Power BI, including report creation, DAX, and Power Query; expertise in connecting, transforming, and processing data from various sources; experience in building and managing data lakes, data warehouses, or similar architectures; familiarity with other Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Storage; strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL.
3. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex data-related issues quickly.
4. Communication Skills: Strong ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in deploying AI models and advanced analytics solutions.
2. Certifications in Azure Data Engineer Associate or Power BI preferred.
3. Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
