We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our Food & Beverage team at The Falkirk Wheel, Scottish Canals' flagship attraction in Scotland.
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist the kitchen team in providing a diverse menu, including hot offers, Grab & Go, wood-fired pizzas, and events. You will work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and front-of-house team to ensure the smooth operation of the Falkirk Wheel's F&B offer, including events.
* Assist with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, ordering, and stock management.
* Prepare and present high-quality food and drinks to meet the expectations of our customers.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of menus, including specials and seasonal offerings.
Key qualifications and skills:
* NVQ Level 2 or above in Catering
* Previous experience working in a similar role
* Excellent communication and teamworking skills
* Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A full driving license
