Sous Chef position available in a luxury hotel near Truro.
Your Role:
In the absence of the Head Chef you will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen. Ensuring that company and statutory food, hygiene and Health & Safety standards are always maintained. Ensuring the appropriate management, supervision, and training of the kitchen brigade.
The purpose of the role:
As Sous you will uphold the food vision of the Head Chef ensuring delivery of consistently exceptional food for the unique customer experience - through detailed execution of the recipes and maintaining sourcing strategies and relationships with all key suppliers.
Responsibilities:
It is your responsibility to work within the budgeted costs of the kitchen department, and work within the management team to proactively develop and maintain a customer centred culture – actively seek and act on feedback. It is important to lead by example in all areas to ensure the whole team are consistently operating in an empathetic, fair, and professional manner.
