Reporting to: Senior Data Production Engineer

About the Role
This position sits between the Engineering and Business systems functions. The successful incumbent will be able to analyse historical data from the ERP system alongside Power BI and Excel, to provide data driven analytics that will support engineering across their project portfolio. You will build prototypes aligned to business needs, create and maintain data for our products and help to develop new analytics and reporting functionalities. We are looking to deliver a platform incorporating Machine Learning and Analytics to drive indemnity savings, efficiency benefits and improved customer outcomes.
About You
* Utilise data to support the engineering team to make informed decisions to approach, prioritisation, and resolution of issues.
* Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, ensuring goals and priorities are met.
* Provides insights on how to improve, change and/or streamline our systems for better integration, efficiency and functionality.
* Support in the creation of business cases with robust data to present clarity to current and future state conditions.
* Utilise our systems to analyse and support business intelligence reporting.
* Collaborate with Transmission to provide inline reporting and enhance functionality of the ERP system toolsets within the Engineering teams.
* Support in the development of Engineering Systems and process.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience with MRP systems and setting up BoMs.
* Good Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
* Experience working in a product focussed team.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Develop product strategies, features, and release plans based on business strategies, in-depth data analysis, and user needs.
* Demonstrable experience in implementing lean techniques in previous roles.
Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
* Process Engineering, Business and IT Analytical skills required
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor), Excel, and BI tools
* Understanding of data management principles such as data quality management
* Strong understanding of Production Engineering Administration and supporting toolsets to manage Production Engineering Master Data
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills for engaging stakeholders.

* Educated to a minimum of ONC or HNC E
* Educated to a minimum of degree level D
