KS3/4 English Specialist - April 2025 start Prospero Teaching is looking for a English teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary school in Bury. You will be responsible for teaching English, both to KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking. There are some KS3 Drama lessons on this timetable which you would team-teach. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, A666), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire. Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active "on call" team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters. All teachers have a Form and you will adopt a Year 7 form. The English / Creative faculty play a key part in the production of the summer and Christmas plays and all staff are encouraged to become involved. The position is open to NQT's/ECT's and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible. All staff have protected PPA time.
