A Sous Chef opportunity at The Feathers Hotel in Ludlow to support the Head Chef in re-positioning the property as a deluxe hotel kitchen with Rosette experience.
The Feathers Hotel is a 42-bedroom boutique hotel situated in the heart of Ludlow, with a rich history dating back to the Jacobean era. Our kitchen team is passionate about delivering exceptional food and drink experiences to our guests, and we are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team.
Job Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation
* Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a team
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations of the restaurant
* Oversee food preparation and ensure high-quality standards are met
* Collaborate with the culinary team to create and develop new menu items
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
* Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
* Assist in planning and executing special events or catering functions
