This is a great opportunity for someone with previous surveying experience looking to build their career within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The role will be primarily based out of Birmingham. Duties of the role HS2 Specific Data Handling: Understand and process survey data from various HS2 project sources. Ensure all data processes are in alignment with HS2 standards and requirements. Utilise knowledge of HS2 survey methodologies, site limitations, equipment, and alternative monitoring systems. Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open channels of communication with colleagues, team leaders, and project managers specific to HS2 tasks. Attend briefings relevant to the HS2 project's technical demands. Professionally liaise with HS2-specific clients, ensuring clarity and precision in data-related discussions. Quality Assurance & Reporting: Execute quality assurance checks on all HS2 project data deliverables. Identify data trends specific to the HS2 project and prepare analytical reports. Notify HS2 technical/project managers about daily progress and potential issues in real-time. Quickly identify and rectify any data anomalies, reporting to the respective Project Manager immediately. Training & Support: Train and support junior field staff and data processors in HS2-specific data processing and reporting. Provide HS2-related software support to Data Processors and junior staff. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all data-related documentation for HS2, including health and safety, operations, technical, and quality areas, is updated. Adhere to company and HS2-specific procedures and policies, promoting their importance among the team. Report daily tasks and hours worked through the company's Job Diary system. Technical Expertise: Stay updated with software developments relevant to the HS2 project. Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel etc.) for HS2-specific tasks. Understand the intricacies of monitoring sensors in the context of HS2, from field operations to office analyses. Role requirements Manual Handling Training. Health, Safety and Environmental Training – SPA, RAMS, lone working etc. Good level of English. Suitable qualification in surveying/engineering (or related field).
