This is an exciting opportunity to join New City College in various catering roles across the organisation. We have recently bought the catering provision in-house and due to internal promotions now have several exciting vacancies. All sites are busy campuses with multiple service outlets; this role allows for freedom to write and produce your own menus (at Head Chef level and above). Your main role will be to provide a high-quality catering service which supports the wellbeing of pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
* To provide a high-quality catering service which supports the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
* Level 3 Food Safety (or NVQ equivalent).
* Experience of working in industrial catering.
* Knowledge of legislative requirements to include healthy eating, allergens, COSHH, HACCP.
* Experience of managing a team or deputising for management.
Who You Are:
Proven experience of working in an industrial kitchen or catering establishment, including mass catering and/or hospitality catering, would be highly beneficial. Excellent leadership and management skills will be needed for senior/manager roles alongside the ability to oversee all kitchen operations whilst meeting the college catering and health and safety standards. For all roles, as part of the recruitment selection process, you will be asked to participate in a trial shift.
You will be required to work 4 Saturdays in a calendar year to help support our enrolment events and will be required to attend mandatory Catering CPD days or supplier training.
On occasion, you may be asked to work at a Hubbed local campus to support on a temporary basis. At present, our Hubbed campuses are:
* Hackney and Bsix
* Poplar and Arbour
* Rainham and Ardleigh Green
* Redbridge and 6th form
* Epping and Epping Wellness Centre
