T he Coaching Inn Group have recently commenced a £3million refurbishment plan at The Castle of Brecon Hotel and are now looking for an exceptional Sous Chef to join the food operation. Although we are not scheduled to re-open until Spring 2025 we are looking to fill this role and for the successful candidate to commence in role in March 2025. You will be working in a brand new kitchen which has been relocated in the building, in a venue looking to build its reputation for amazing fresh food with a nod to its provenance and Welsh roots. As Sous Chef you will receive a full induction to the business- spend time at other hotels in the group, meet the executive chefs and Head of Food. You will be involved in developing your menus, sourcing local products and recruiting and training your brand new team prior to re-open alongside your Head Chef. An interest in latest food trends and creating exceptional dishes Passionate about fresh food and culinary excellence A great leader who can inspire, coach and develop a great team and can step up in the absence of your Head Chef.
