Ensuring the kitchen brigade adhere to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times. To manage and maintain effective food GP% across food outlets within the Hotel. To continuously review our menu choice for hotel guests and develop new dishes, using seasonal produce where possible. Liaising with suppliers to ensure we source quality goods and food products at the best available pricing. Manage kitchen inventory and ordering stock as required. To oversee the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organise repairs when needed. Ensuring that the kitchen brigade comply to current health & safety, food safety and fire regulations and maintain up to date training records (including online learning). Manage departmental rotas in accordance with the needs of the business. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements To succeed in the role of Head Chef, you will need the following qualities and skills: A natural passion and flair for producing great food, presented well The ability to consistently perform well in a high-pressure and fast paced environment. Excellent organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of the hotel's kitchens. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the kitchen brigade. Sound business acumen to make informed decisions regarding menu pricing and kitchen processes. Proven track record as a Head Chef in a similar establishment.
