Experience of organising, designing and delivering training, preferably in the manufacturing or toolmaking industry Qualifications: A relevant Engineering qualification is essential. The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS) is desirable. The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (or equivalent e.g. D32/33, A1/A2) is desirable. Key Responsibilities: Assess Training Needs : Work with external partners to conduct thorough skills gap analyses within the toolmaking workforce through job analysis, knowledge and skills assessments and consultations with managers. Develop Training Programmes : Design and develop training curricula, programmes, workshops, and materials tailored to the specific needs of toolmaking processes and technologies with a focus on accelerating development through experiential learning. Implement Training : Coordinate and deliver training to toolmakers and apprentices, ensuring training is engaging and effective, and assess competence against consistent and agreed standards. Identify and engage third-party providers for training which cannot be delivered internally. Evaluate Effectiveness : Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes. Budget Management : Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources. Compliance : Ensure all training programmes comply with relevant policies, laws, regulations and audit requirements. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest training methods and techniques, incorporating them into training. Collaboration : Work closely with other internal L&D professionals and managers to address specific training needs and develop strategies that align with overall business objectives. Performance Monitoring : Monitor employee performance and response to training, providing feedback and support, and escalating as needed
