A major group specializing in Automation solutions for multiple sectors across Engineering & Manufacturing is looking for a Regional Sales Executive to provide mechanically driven support to businesses while generating new business in your areas. This role would ideally suit a sales/projects/applications engineer with strong technical/mechanical knowledge and good commercial acumen. You will be selling a truly unique product in the world of automated solutions, which has a great reputation in their industry.
Role: Regional Sales Executive (Remote)
Area: South East (Hampshire, Outer London, Essex, Oxfordshire)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + comms + benefits + company car
Reporting to the Sales Director, the sales area for the Regional Sales Executive will cover the South East of the country (Hampshire, Essex, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire). The company will supply all the tools to do the job, including a company car, laptop, phones, tablets, etc. You will be autonomous & responsible for your diary. This is a remote role with a good salary and a strong commission structure.
The requirements of the Regional Sales Executive will be:
1. You must be located within commutable distance of our primary target areas. When not visiting clients, you will be expected to work from home.
2. Cultivating existing clients and generating new opportunities while expanding new products to existing clients. A valid UK driving license is required.
3. Some national and international travel will be expected outside of these designated areas, i.e., trade fairs and events.
4. You must demonstrate a successful track record in generating new business across a broad range of sectors, with the attitude and skills to continually reach or exceed set targets.
5. Excellent presentation skills are essential as you will be demonstrating the benefits of the product range to your prospects and customers.
6. Strong attention to detail is necessary, as you will be assessing the suitability of the solutions for specific customer applications.
7. You will be required to work with the administration team to request quotes and additional equipment required for the order.
8. Complete initial audits at customer sites and report back to the installation and design team for planning and ordering.
The ideal candidate for the Regional Sales Executive will have:
1. A mechanical, electrical and/or engineering background with sales experience and be technically minded.
2. Experience in a sales role with technical (mechanical) elements is essential.
3. Experience within automation is advantageous though not essential, as full and comprehensive training will be provided.
4. A full UK Driving license.
5. An autonomous individual who is organized, self-sufficient, and has strong commercial acumen.
6. A background of working with customers and seeing projects through from cradle to grave.
