Job Description
Holroyd Howe is one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are currently looking for a talented and proven Chef in one of our client’s prestigious sites in Cheltenham.
You will be working in a great kitchen environment using and serving fresh, seasonal produce with modern techniques and always looking at developing the food offer.
As well as having excellent presentation, communication, and people management skills, you will demonstrate a real passion for food and service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook meals, salad bar, and snacks to the standards required by management.
2. Ensure that company and statutory regulations pertaining to Health, Safety & Hygiene are adhered to.
3. Complete necessary documents for accurate record keeping.
4. Help with ordering, stock rotation, putting deliveries away, and stock taking.
5. Deal with customers at all times in a friendly and helpful manner.
6. Attend staff meetings as necessary.
7. Report to management immediately any accidents, fires, thefts, losses, damages, or other irregularities.
8. Report to management any customer complaints or compliments.
9. Receive any training that may be necessary.
10. Undertake any kitchen cleaning duties.
11. Undertake any other reasonable duty as requested by management.
12. Keep up with current food trends.

Qualifications
1. Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred.
2. Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
3. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
4. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
7. Fun and enthusiastic.
8. Excellent organization skills.
9. Team player who enjoys succeeding as a team.
10. Flexible approach to work.
