A Sous Chef position is available at a multi million pound redeveloped hotel in the beautiful Lake District Country Park. The hotel is a busy dining venue, and the Head Chef is pushing forward to achieve 3 AA rosettes in the fine dining restaurant serving fresh, modern dishes and tasting menus, breads, ice cream, and fresh desserts. The hotel also hosts private events, weddings, conferences, Sunday lunches, and exclusive afternoon teas. As a result, this Sous Chef role will require you to adapt to a number of different cooking styles while assisting in maintaining the day-to-day management of the kitchen and the supervision of the team of 14 chefs. You will support the Head Chef in all aspects of food production, from training junior chefs to delivering customer excellence in the finished dish.
Requirements:
CVs will be considered from either existing Sous Chefs or junior Sous Chefs wanting to step up. It is important that they highlight experience working in busy kitchens serving multiple dining operations and busy banqueting operations for at least 2-3 years with a minimum of 2 Rosette experience. A chef who has the drive and ability to push forward standards, be responsible for junior staff development, and ensure high levels of food standards are achieved.
