Group Head Chef, Multi-Site Restaurants & Cafes

Position Overview: Seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations across multiple locations, in Exmouth and Exeter areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multi-site / brand or high-volume kitchen management, and a passion for developing creative menus that reflect the company’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee kitchen operations across all sites, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
• Develop and implement innovative, seasonal menus that highlight local produce and align with current culinary trends.
• Manage, develop and mentor a diverse team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Monitor and control & analyse food costs, stocks, and waste and labour costs to achieve financial targets and margins.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to deliver seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an Area Head Chef or Head Chef of a high-volume fresh food kitchen.
• Exceptional culinary skills & ability to develop and execute creative and profitable menus.
• Solid commercial knowledge, understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse and multi-site team.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.
