At The Taybank, we are seeking an accomplished Head Chef to spearhead our kitchen operations. As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing menus that showcase the finest Scottish seasonal produce, with a focus on our walled garden and locally foraged ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team to achieve exceptional culinary standards.
* Design and implement menus that highlight locally sourced and homegrown produce.
* Ensure efficient kitchen operations, controlling GP, wastage, and staffing budgets.
* Manage staff rotas and training, promoting a high standard of culinary skills and kitchen professionalism.
* Collaborate with the wider team to improve kitchen processes and overall guest experience.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in managing and leading a kitchen team.
* Exceptional knowledge of British seasonal produce.
* A passion for creating innovative dishes based on seasonal, local ingredients.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience managing kitchen budgets, GP, and minimising wastage.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage rotas and staff development.
