Job role : Sous Chef
Location : Central London, St Pauls
Salary : £37,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm plus overtime
Houston & Hawkes are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef who produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients at this highly prestigious contract in heart of London.

Sous Chef Duties:
5. To manage the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
6. Setting up the kitchen and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and in date
7. Preparing ingredients, designing seasonal menu items, controlling and directing the food preparation process
8. Ensure the presentation of the food is consistent with the standards set by head chef
9. Focusing on all customers including guests, staff and visitors & meeting dietary and allergen requirements whilst ensuring quality of food and service
10. Demonstrate Personal Development.
Sous Chef Requirements:
11. Proven experience in contract catering, 5* hotel or fine dining restaurant
12. A genuine passion for food
13. Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments & innovations
14. Ability to work efficiently and competently under pressure
15. Excellent time management and organisational skills
16. High level of self-motivation and not constrained by conventional time keeping
17. 706/2 or NVQ chef qualifications, or equivalent
18. Honesty, transparency and consistency, someone who can gain and hold the respect of other
19. Personal innovation and passion
20. Demonstrative customer focus and service skills
21. Computer literate
