JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a key role within the K-Winch product line, working closely with departmental Managers, Cell Leaders and Mechanical Technicians, to ensure quality is maintained throughout the assembly process, aiming to minimise the costs of rework and maximise customer satisfaction with our products.
You will have full responsibility for activities relating to the factory acceptance testing, final inspection and performance run testing of our truck mounted and containerised wireline winches, power packs, telescopic/folding wireline masts including all related sub-assemblies. You will support the K-Winch assembly team through specific continuous improvements as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving. Key to this role will be your ability to determine priorities to ensure continuous workflow between the team ultimately achieving targets and on time delivery.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Utilising the Tesla test winch, carry out operational run testing of units & trucks in accordance with the specific procedures.
2. Ensure all available test winches are in optimum condition and maintained as per the maintenance schedules.
3. Liaise with the quality team to establish all certification requirements prior to manufacture.
4. Perform in line quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
5. Ensure the final quality standard is in accordance with the expected NOV standards for K-Winch products.
6. Execute performance/stability tests according to test protocols and data provided by the engineering department.
7. Liaise with the production cell leaders/Production Manager to establish when units will be available for testing.
8. Support all third-party testing and assist with product training and commissioning.
9. Maintain a safe, organised, clean and tidy work area at all times.
10. Work safely and report any safety concerns that are observed immediately to your manager.
11. Ensure all company policies surrounding health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met.
12. Analyse test results and prepare FAT reports based on findings.
13. Ensure all quality documentation is completed correctly and forwarded to the quality department.
14. Initiate communications with production leaders to ensure any failure/malfunction of a unit will be resolved in a timely manner to prevent delays in the delivery time.
15. Manage workload effectively and have an up-to-date status available on assigned projects.
