Salary: Between £36,378 - £40,548 p.a. (depending on experience) plus benefits

St John’s College is one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge with a population of just under 1000 students, 150 Fellows and approximately 240 staff.
St John’s College is seeking to appoint a Sous Chef to join its busy Catering and Hospitality Department to assist the Head Chef in ensuring the preparation of food is to the highest standard, for members of the College as well as high profile events.
The College is very well respected within the hospitality industry and has a high reputation for its food and service, which we are always looking to improve upon. The postholder will therefore contribute imaginative and innovative ideas towards menu planning, adapted to meet customer needs and changing eating trends.
The postholder must have experience in a senior kitchen role, along with supervisory management experience, and up to date knowledge of HACCP, allergy awareness and COSHH principles and regulations are essential. The postholder will be a highly motivated individual with a strong personal interest in food trends and a passion for high standards, quality, food safety/hygiene and customer service.
