We are a North Leeds Hotel currently looking to recruit a passionate Banqueting Sous Chef to join our busy and friendly Kitchen Brigade.
We are looking for applicants who take pride in their work and have exceptional attention to detail and a desire to deliver the best experience to our guests.The ideal candidate will have a friendly, enthusiastic can do attitude and experience in a similar role.
JOB SUMMARY
Your tasks as a Banqueting Sous Chef will include but not be limited to:
* Overall responsibility for the daily operations in the kitchen in absence of the Head Chef, ensuring meals are prepared to the highest standard.
* Monitor food preparation and portion sizes, ensuring consistency and compliance with recipes and hotel standards.
* Support the Head Chef in creating creative menus and new dishes.
* Strive to become the first choice for eating in the local area through the quality and value for money of the food.
* Monitor stock levels and ensure that ingredients are fresh and available as needed.
* Support the Head Chef in liaising with purchasing companies for food orders.
* Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety in the kitchen at all times.
* Maintaining and raising the profit margins on food.
* Ensure satisfaction and seek feedback on menu items
