Kitchen Manager
Department: Restaurants & QSR
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Bognor Regis
Description
About The Role
We're looking for a Kitchen Manager to join the Butlin's Team based in Bognor Regis.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead and develop the skills of our team in one of our fantastic food venues. A Butlin's resort is the home of getting stuck in and no trip to the seaside would be complete without great food.
As a Kitchen Manager, you will lead a team of up to 20 chefs and kitchen porters, taking part in all aspects of the team, including recruitment, training, development, and retention. You will be accountable for stocktakes, rosters, timesheets, health & safety compliance, and food safety compliance for the kitchen you lead. You will form a close working relationship with the Venue Manager and front of house team to provide an all-round service.
You will support candidates on our in-house Chef Academy Development program and attend workshops and training as required. The role is part of the Restaurants department, and you may support other kitchen teams and participate in event work when conferences take place on the resort.
About You
We are looking for individuals with experience in a similar level role within a volume restaurant environment. We would also love to hear from you if you're looking to step up to your next role in the kitchen.
You will need to be hardworking and determined, a reliable person who likes to get things done and seeks better ways for the team to consistently deliver our brand standards.
We are looking for candidates who are energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving, and who understand their role and the value they can add to the guest experience by unleashing the potential of the team.
You should have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to continually deliver high standards in a fast-paced and busy kitchen environment.
As with any chef role at this level, you will also be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards.
We think our chefs at Butlin's are something special, and we know our guests love to return to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience. The ideal candidate will be fun, eager to join in, work as part of a team, and interested in ensuring our guests have a great time, every time.
Typical working hours: working five days over seven, covering 40 hours per week and are part of a bonus scheme.
