Our client is a vibrant Yacht club in the pretty Harbour town of Fowey in Cornwall. With a waterfront setting and uninterrupted views of the estuary, the main restaurant can seat up to 50 people with private dining and events catered for up to 70 covers.
Temporary accommodation can be organised for the right person if relocating to the area.
What’s involved?
As an experienced Head Chef, you will be brought in during an exciting new chapter for the yacht club, where the food operation is changing.
Initially working alone, additional chef and KP support will be brought in to assist you during the summer months and for events however, as business increases on a general day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for hiring chefs to join your team and leading the kitchen to ensure a smooth operation.
You will manage profit, stock, wastage control and hygiene practices, as well as ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
You will closely with the company directors to come up with a plan to drive business forward, creating exciting new menus using fresh ingredients, as well as developing new dishes and ‘specials’ along the way. You will also be responsible for planning menus for special events and functions.
