Full time employment with us is based on 40 hours per week This role is based on a Hybrid basis from our Manchester office Some key duties and responsibilities Collaborate with clients and product teams to design, provision and implement appropriate technologies Assist in establishing systems for data ingestion, transformation and analytics from operational activities Serve as an expert resource for data engineering queries across the business Consult, analyse requirements, and develop solutions that drive tangible business change Independently design, develop, and implement high-quality deliverables for multiple clients Supervising / upskilling more junior team members in project delivery Here's what you'll need A degree-level education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field plus professional Data Engineering experience Extensive exposure to Azure, GCP or AWS | Proficiency in Databricks / Spark | Advanced SQ L knowledge | Experience with relational, MPP and NoSQL databases, as well as object storage | Proficiency in Python / Scala Strong background in data modelling and experience with streaming and batch mode processes Familiarity with Agile methodologies Expertise in source control management, coding standards, code reviews, testing and CI / CD Ideally you would have experience in a consulting environment, working with various stakeholders including senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, data scientists and enterprise / solution architects Preferably you will have Cloud Certifications and experience in designing and implementing distributed systems Experience supervising / upskilling more junior team members in project delivery Our culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
