Description About the role: We have an exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources function as a Senior Compensation Specialist within our Reward team. Sitting in a small team of Reward professionals, the Senior Compensation Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Head of Reward. This position is instrumental in reviewing and implementing our compensation strategies and processes to align with the firm’s ambitious growth objectives and overall people agenda. As a Senior Compensation Specialist your key relationships will include: Internal - Practice & Team Leaders, Business Services Directors & Heads Of, Finance teams: HRD & senior HR team; other HR delivery teams External - Third party providers including reward advisors and consultants, compensation data providers, statutory reporting bodies. Our HR team operates from both Birmingham and London offices, so this position can be based in either location. However, if the successful candidate is based in the London office, they will be expected to be present at the Birmingham office at least once a week, with an understanding that this will increase during peak times. About you: We are looking for an individual with substantial experience in compensation, particularly in salary and bonus structures. Within your experience you will have managed or played a significant role in salary and bonus cycles and be familiar with job evaluation methodologies, preferably Willis Towers Watson. You will demonstrate a highly numerate and analytical ability, possessing strong skills in presenting complex information. A curious mindset, keen attention to detail, and the ability to interact with and influence demanding stakeholders are essential to thrive in this position. Experience within the legal or professional services sector is highly preferred. System Skills: Advanced Excel, MS Office and relevant Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Experience of reporting / data analysis and visualisation tools would be ideal.
