Job Introduction
As a Sous Chef at Sodexo in Tidworth Garrison Your culinary expertise and organizational excellence will lead an entire food and beverage production. What you’ll do:
Lead the kitchen in the absence of your senior colleagues & provide support for the production team
Direct the preparation/duties to the commis chefs, chef de parties and other kitchen staff.
Assisting/sharing in ordering, prep, stock control, to running service & clean down.
Ensuring strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems
improvisation and maximise the use of existing stocks where necessary.
Working with the FOH team to drive the service excellence
Work on the range with the kitchen team to train, guide & develop
Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
Prepare, produce and present food to the highest standard
What you bring:
NVQ lv 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment
Basic IT skills, with Microsoft packages experience
Experience in menu planning and production
Exposure to bulk cooking
The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills.
A positive and approachable manner
