Travel Customer Support Specialist
A unique opportunity to join this award-winning luxury travel company who are expanding their Travel Customer Support team. This is a varied customer service role and will be responsible for supporting clients with pre and post travel bookings and queries on long-haul tailor-made bookings, whilst offering the highest level of service. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has excellent travel experience working within customer service, support, operations, or sales who is looking to build a career with a marker leader in luxury travel. This is a fully homebased role and offers a salary of £27,500 and will be working Mon-Fri 9-5 (Saturdays during peak season)
Travel Customer Support Specialist – Role & Responsibilities:
Manage incoming calls and emails from customers with any pre and post travel queries
Handle product operational changes from suppliers (land & air); sourcing solutions for customers and liaising with customers, Retail, or Sales Travel Consultants as appropriate in relation to any significant supplier or inhouse driven changes.
Confidently deliver schedule changes and / or ground changes to the customer to ensure their holiday itinerary is not impacted
Actively upsell and negotiate to avoid cancellation and ensure that bookings are still secured
Confidently handle booking checks to ensure everything is correct and identify potential errors
Support essential pre-booking tasks; Health & Safety checks, ad hoc sourcing through suppliers, loading alternatives etc.
Ensure timely handling of internal and external queries
Building positive relationship with clients, internal teams, and suppliers
Travel Customer Support Specialist – Skills & Experience Required:
Experience working for a Tour Operator/Travel company within customer service, operations, or sales with knowledge of long-haul destinations
Confident assisting clients over the phone with changes and amendments and experience with pre & post travel queries
Excellent Worldwide Travel knowledge in particular Africa, India, Asia, America, Australia, and New Zealand
Confident communicator with customers and internal departments
Excellent level of attention to details and confident working to timescales
Knowledge of a GDS (Galileo, Amadeus, or Sabre ) desired but not essential as training will be provided
