We want someone who always wants to continuously improve their own skills and who can truly understand the business. We don’t have data for the sake of it - we use the information to make calculated decisions on the path forward. So what will you be doing at Kukoon: You will be working in our Data Engineering department to support every part of the business in their journeys to streamline and automate the data they have. You will lead the way in improving processes and finding an easier way to do things. Power BI - Our business utilises Power BI better than 99% of the business in Ireland, and we know we want to do much more with it. This role will involve in-depth training on Power BI, so we are looking for someone with a hunger to learn and the ability to pick up information quickly. Report building & presenting complex data in a user friendly interface. Maintaining, upgrading, and fixing issues on all current reports. Business Improvement - This role doesn’t sit in the corner - it requires someone proactive to truly dive into all areas of the business and communicate at all levels. No two days will be the same, learning and adapting on the fly is part of the gig. This is a role in which most of the answers do not already exist - instead you will be given a platform to be creative and show off what you can do Understanding the needs of departments and then project managing the improvements. Utilising Excel and Google Sheets to create efficiencies for departments. Learning and writing basic scripts on VBA and Google Apps Script to aid in data automation. Implementing and communicating new processes to wider teams. What you bring to the table: A strong numerical talent is key - nothing too advanced, but using intermediate mathematics is a big part of the job. Good experience with formula writing in Excel/Google sheets. A strategic level thought process, who thinks about the business as a whole and how each decision will impact each person in the various different departments. You think big and move fast. Choices need to be made, better to move fast, than hesitate and be stuck in limbo. We value risk taking, as you can’t be a pioneer, without taking a few leaps. The ability to communicate at all levels. You are able to relate and get the best out of people, no matter if they work in the warehouse or they are part of the SMT. You are deadline driven and competitive. Tangible results are not always easy to calculate when it comes to projects that nobody has done before, but you are deeply passionate about how the company progresses.
