We’re looking for a JuniorKitchen Manager to join the Butlin's Buffet Department based inBognor Regis.
Reporting to the SeniorKitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen andsupport in leading a team of up to 40. Making our guests smile isat the heart of our values, and you will ensure this happensconsistently by ensuring that guests remain the central focus ofall operational decisions. This will include resource planning,recruitment and selection, ensuring that we have the very best teamin place to deliver an amazingservice.
You will be passionate aboutexceptional experience and will monitor this regularly to developaction plans in your venue with a focus on continuous improvement.Financial performance will play an important part in your role, andyou will deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning,cooking to standards and specification. You will also support inthe accountability of food hygiene standards and health andsafety,inline with legislation and companypolicies.
You will be a role model for theButlin’s unique way of working, ensuring training schedules andperformance development plans are in place for your team andinspiring them to deliver a great experience to guests every time.We truly believe that variety is the spice of life and in this roleyou’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop the skills of ateam in our main buffet restaurant serving our guests who havebooked a half-board diningpackage.

You will need to be hard working anddetermined, a reliable person who likes to get things done and whowill look for better ways for the team to consistently deliver ourbrand standards.
We are looking for candidateswho are energetic and enthusiastic, high spirited and fun lovingand who will understand their role and the value they can add tothe guest experience by unleashing the potential of theteam.
You should have also passed your Level 3Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team tocontinually deliver high standards in a fast paced and busy kitchenenvironment.
As with any chef role at thislevel, you will also be responsible for managing margins andcontrolling costs and all things health, safety and hygienerelated.

Typical working hours: working five daysover seven, covering 40 hours per week and are part of a bonusscheme and is a unique opportunity to work within a kitchenenvironment without splits shifts, a 40-hour working week andnormally finished by 8pm.
