Our clients who operate a number of 'pop up' style kitchen outlets in Leeds and York are looking to recruit a kitchen manager for their newly opening site in York city centre, for this Asian food style pop up concept.
Being a service kitchen with most of the ingredients made from scratch in the central production kitchen in Leeds, you will be tasked with the bus all day service, upkeep of the due diligence & H&S, overseeing the team of 3-4 kitchen staff, and also serving customers and money handling. A kitchen manager with some experience working in a grab and go operation, with some fresh food kitchen experience would be ideal.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Experience leading teams in a close-knit kitchen.
2. Knowledge of par levels, stock & wastage control, and ordering.
3. Having worked handling cash and cash up would be an advantage, although training will be given.
4. Some experience working within a brand would be an advantage, although this is a fresh food led kitchen, all the ingredients do come in from a central kitchen.
5. Have the character to lead and enthuse those around you; no shouty chef managers here please!
