The Health and Safety Executives (HSEs) mission is to prevent people being killed, injured or made ill by work activities.
We help businesses and people understand how the laws to keep people safe and well at work affect them and provide guidance on what to do. To help us achieve this we employ the largest concentration of health and safety experts in the country including frontline inspectors, specialists, policy delivery teams, economists, lawyers and administrators, all working together to help protect people.
HSEs resource needs are varied and wide-ranging from administrative and corporate roles through to niche and often hard to fill specialist roles. These might be scientific or engineering roles and this variety makes our work in recruitment really unique and interesting.
Recruitment is HRs current number one priority. We are responsible for identifying, planning and fulfilling HSEs resource requirements to ensure that we have the right people with the right skills and at the right time. Alongside this, we are working to improve the service experience for candidates and vacancy managers, the time we take to hire new employees and to increase the diversity of our candidate pool.
