Who we are:
The Locals Chelsea is a small, independent restaurant based in the heart of Central London.Just 10 mins walk away from Sloane Square station or 15 mins from Victoria Station.We are very well known for our brunch menu and artisan coffee. We focus on serving predominantly healthy meals, including a variety of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free recipes to meetthe many dietary needs of todays modern diners. Our food is locally sourced and carefully prepared by our team.
We open 7 days a week, from 8am until 8pm during the week, from 9am to 7pm on a weekend.
Who we looking for:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role
* In-depth knowledge of kitchen management, food safety, and health regulations
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
* Exceptional cooking skills with a passion for creativity and high-quality ingredients
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency
* Solid understanding of cost control, budget management, and profit margins
Duties:
* Lead, supervise, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes consistently
* Develop innovative, seasonal menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences
* Oversee food preparation, ensuring excellent taste, presentation, and portion control
* Manage inventory, control food costs, and ensure minimal waste
* Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
* Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
* Collaborate with management to plan menus, events, and special promotions
* Ensure smooth operation of the kitchen during busy service hours
