ROLE OVERVIEW //
We are recruiting an IT Training Manager to sit within the firm’s Learning and Development (L&D) group. The IT Training Manager will also support the L&D team on widening their digital learning offering.
This role will work closely with legal and business services groups, collaborating with colleagues in Knowledge and Learning, Technology and various other stakeholders across the firm. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, able to build relationships at all levels and work collaboratively with others. They will be a seasoned IT Trainer with experience of managing IT Training in a professional services setting. They will also have an interest in generating creative digital learning solutions and an innovative, can-do mindset.
Our broader L&D team provides a comprehensive learning offering, including legal, commercial and business skills training, coaching and mentoring as well as leadership development for the firm’s legal and business services populations. Crucial to the continued delivery of our best-in-class training has been the team’s ability to foster our culture of training excellence via ever more creative delivery methods, digital platforms and innovative solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //
The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm.
* Manage the day-to-day work of the IT Training Team and support the L&D team in delivering IT and relevant digital learning to the firm.
* Be the subject matter expert for the IT Training Team and manage the team in their design and delivery of IT training at the firm.
* Manage the IT Training Team on all IT Training projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
* Coordinate the IT Training Team in the continual review and updating of all IT Training content.
* Use instructional design best practices, AI tools, graphic design, e-learning and video production skills to create engaging and inclusive IT training and digital learning content.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IT Training initiatives (and any digital learning) at the firm through feedback and data analytics to continuously improve our learning offering.
* Have experience and a keen interest in upskilling learners in AI technologies.
* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and SMEs to identify learning needs and design appropriate solutions.
CANDIDATE PROFILE //
Candidates for this position should:
* Preferably have a degree-level of education with a technology or instructional design background.
* Have a solid track record in creating innovative and accessible IT and digital learning experiences.
* Be an experienced user of MS Office and of numerous digital learning tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Articulate 360, Adobe and others). Digital learning and/or software qualifications or equivalent
* Have extensive experience in digital instructional design.
* Have some experience using an LMS.
* Be a proactive self-starter, driven to make change happen and challenge the status quo.
* Have a proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple deliverables within a tight timeframe and deliver high quality work.
* Be curious and creative, interested in exploring new and emerging technologies to help generate the best learning experience for our users.
* Have experience managing multiple stakeholders.
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational.
* Be comfortable leading and managing others at various levels of seniority, motivating and empowering them to deliver an exceptional training offering and managing performance
* Have demonstrable flexibility to deal confidently with changes in the firm’s requirements.
* Have experience of working in a diverse team whilst fostering an inclusive team culture.
