SALARY: Attractive hourly rate upon appointment with wage progression payscale in place

Job Description:
The main duties of this role include but are not limited to:
* Creating, preparing, and serving high-end pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods.
* Creating/preparing our Afternoon Tea menu offerings.
* Ensuring all food is delivered on time.
* Taking responsibility for all dishes in your section ensuring consistent presentation every time.
* Working alongside the Head Chef and team to create and develop daily and weekly specials.
* Working within a team to ensure high food standards are consistently met.
* Working within and maintaining all associated Health, Hygiene, Fire & Safety guidelines and procedures while working.
* Comply with company food safety policies and legislation.
* Maintaining high levels of cleanliness at all times and making sure your personal appearance and uniform is in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
* Ensuring minimum wastage and implementing new ideas for reducing wastage.
Applicant Criteria:
* Have a passion for pastry and baking.
* Have at least 1-year of experience working as a pastry chef.
* Have experience in working in other sections of the kitchen (desirable).
* A keen eye for detail and great organisational skills.
* Must have a good, pleasant manner and be well presented.
* Be able to use their initiative and previous experience to ensure the smooth running of the pastry kitchen.
* Display a pleasant manner and be well presented.
* Enjoy working as part of a team, be able to multi-task, and work well under pressure.
* Hold basic food hygiene qualification or above.
* Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and must be available to work day/evenings and weekends.

* Good attention to detail and creativity
* Must be able to prioritise workload of set section in kitchen
* Must be highly motivated and able to thrive under pressure.
