Sous Chef - Rosette Gastro Pub, Finchampstead
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced passionate Sous Chef to lead a well-established and highly skilled kitchen brigade. With fresh, seasonal menus and a great reputation, this independent pub company focuses on nose to tail dining with a front and back of house team who are passionate about fresh food dining and outstanding service, with daily specials from fresh, seasonal seafood to whole animal butchery.
The Perks

1. Salary of £38,000 plus bonus
2. 48 hr week - with possibility of having 4 days on and 3 days off

The Place
Our client is an award-winning gastro pub group with multiple sites around Surrey and Berkshire. This site is based in Finchampstead. They are a warm, relaxed pub with beautiful seasonal menus; with popular Sunday Roasts, hand-curated wine lists, and cocktails to be enjoyed inside or on their terrace.
The Person
The successful Sous Chef will have the following:
1. Experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment, ideally at Rosette level
2. Classically trained
3. Keen interest in whole fish filleting, meat butchery, fresh soups, and stocks
4. The ability to learn and retain knowledge and skills to run your own section
5. Strong leader
6. Run kitchen in absence of Head Chef
7. Personable and team player
8. Experience in creating seasonal, fresh specials
9. High attention to detail and organized
10. Passionate about fresh food and menu design/seasonal specials
11. A true interest to work in a fresh food kitchen to a premium level
12. Be local or have own transport is a must as the pub
