Grafton Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive for one of their busy, successful Shipping & Logistics clients in the Selby area.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who is looking to progress their career. Conducting existing client business development / relationship building, maximising the business potential all in a busy, modern office location near the town and train station of Selby.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Working as part of a team to proactively build relationships with existing clients to nurture and maximise the business potential.
2. Account Management.
3. Generating & calculating freight quotations / tender documents.
4. Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence.
5. Follow up calls.
6. Managing sales process through to closure.
7. Ensuring that the quotes are completed promptly and are followed up to maximise conversion.
8. Client visiting where required.
You will have:
1. Sales and/or customer service experience.
2. Freight forwarding or export sales experience (ideal but not essential as training is provided).
3. Proven success of calculating and submitting quotes and tender submissions.
4. Experience of negotiating with clients and suppliers.
5. Key account management experience with proven success of developing relationships.
6. Good administrative skills.
7. Good numerical skills.
8. Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
