Head Chef - Dorset - Work Life Balance - £40,000
As Head Chef you will have full cooking responsibility for this busy Contract Catering unit in Dorset.
The role is located just a short 10 mile drive from Bournemouth/Poole area so own transport is essential.
Within this role, you will be focusing on delivering the highest quality of food and service along with flair, originality and the ability to make this one of the best contract catering offers in the area.
You will be the person in charge of the kitchen which can feed up to 1000 covers and report in to the onsite Catering Manager
Head Chef Benefits
* 52 weeks
* 37.5 hours per week
* 5/7 days with a normal working pattern of Tuesday-Saturday
* 2 types of shifts to cover, 630am-230pm or 12-8
* £40,000
* Pension and generous holiday entitlement of up to 30 days
* Straight shifts, no late nights
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the cooking is up to the company standard and each meal is cooked to the highest of standards
* Lead, develop, coach, train, and inspire your team
* Have full control of stock, food, and labour costs
* Ensure consistency of food and service standards
* Oversee the main kitchen
* Maintain company systems & procedures, and legislation
* Carry out regular audits
Ideal Candidate
* Catering and chef qualifications would be advantageous
* Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
* Knowledge of health and safety practises
* Head Chef experience
* Line management experience is advantageous
* Experience within a similar environment
