It's an event you won't want to miss What We Need: As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef and maintaining high standards in the kitchen. Your leadership and culinary expertise will contribute significantly to the success of the establishment. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute innovative and appealing menus. Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards and are served on time. Manage and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a cohesive team environment. Assist in inventory management, including ordering and maintaining stock levels. Supervise and maintain food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen. Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition; report any maintenance needs to the head chef. Support the head chef in developing and maintaining standard recipes and portion control to ensure consistency. Assist in special events, tastings, and promotions, as needed. Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and open communication. Assume the responsibilities of the head chef in their absence. Skills and Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a busy kitchen. In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines. Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively. Creativity and passion for food, demonstrated through the ability to create unique and visually appealing dishes. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
