Description
As a Data QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our loyalty data platform. You will work within an agile environment, supporting the development of our core data products by executing test scripts, identifying defects, and providing quality assurance across multiple environments.
You will be responsible for testing data pipelines, APIs, and databases, ensuring compliance with industry standards like PCI, and implementing test automation strategies. This role will give you exposure to working with large-scale data systems used by millions of users globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Test and validate data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
* Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to verify functionality, performance, and security.
* Use SQL and NoSQL databases for advanced querying and data validation.
* Perform API testing to validate integrations between systems.
* Maintain and track issues using Jira and ensure defects are resolved.
* Support test automation efforts using Cypress and Selenium.
* Ensure PCI compliance and other relevant security standards are met.
* Provide training and guidance to external clients on testing and product functionality.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience in data quality assurance and testing of data pipelines.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases for data validation.
* Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress and Selenium.
* Knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools.
* Familiarity with issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
* Understanding of PCI compliance and security best practices.
* Ability to collaborate in an agile environment and work closely with engineers, analysts, and product teams.
* Previous experience training external clients on testing processes is a plus.
