The Role:
As our Pastry Chef, you’ll be at the heart of a kitchen that celebrates creativity, quality, and innovation. Working closely with our Head Chef, you'll help design and create delicious, visually stunning pastries and desserts that meet dietary needs while offering restaurant-quality experiences. From crafting elegant seasonal treats to experimenting with flavors that spark memories and bring happiness, you’ll play a key role in redefining what dining in a care home can be.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts that reflect the highest standards of quality and creativity.
2. Collaborate with the Head Chef to design seasonal pastry menus that meet both dietary needs and flavour expectations.
3. Ensure all pastries are beautifully presented and meet the unique preferences of our residents.
4. Maintain an organised, clean, and efficient pastry section within the kitchen.
5. Manage inventory and assist with ordering quality ingredients.
6. Work in line with all health and safety regulations and company standards.
While the focus of this role is on pastry, experience or a passion for cooking as a chef is highly desirable. The ability to assist with general cooking kitchen duties or contribute to other areas of the menu would be a fantastic asset.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented, with a love for experimenting with new flavours and ingredients.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a busy kitchen.
A collaborative spirit with the ability to work well in a close-knit team.
Flexible with working hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
