As a family-run business, we treat our team like family and extend that same warmth to every guest we serve. With exciting new food-based events and opportunities on the horizon, we are looking for a talented Sous/Banquet Chef to work alongside our existing Head Chef and kitchen team.
Your Role
As our Sous/Banquet Chef, you will play a key role in supporting our Head Chef and working collaboratively with our dedicated kitchen team. You will focus on delivering high-quality banquet menus for weddings and special events, ensuring that our food remains a highlight of every celebration.
This role requires someone who can work seamlessly within an established team, contribute ideas, and help execute our culinary vision in a positive and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Execution: Assist with food preparation and service for weddings and special events.
2. Menu Development: Contribute ideas and help refine dishes while respecting the overall menu vision.
3. Teamwork: Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff in a positive and collaborative way.
4. Quality Control: Maintain consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation.
5. Kitchen Operations: Help manage inventory, food costs, and kitchen organization.
6. Compliance & Safety: Ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety, and efficiency.
Work Schedule & Flexibility
1. Full-Time or Seasonal Role Available: Candidates can choose between a full-time permanent position or a seasonal contract.
2. Seasonal roles will be remunerated at a higher rate than full-time positions.
3. Flexible Hours when possible to support work-life balance.
4. Prep Days: Typically Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM.
5. Event & Service Days: Usually limited to 1-2 days per week, depending on the season.
What We’re Looking For
1. Experience as a Banquet Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in catering, events, or fine dining.
2. A passion for food and hospitality, with a team-first mentality.
3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with an existing Head Chef and team.
5. A flexible and creative approach to event-based dining.

Full-time positions offer a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per year, while seasonal contracts are paid at a higher hourly rate of £16-£18 per hour, depending on experience.
