Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (DOE) + Work Van or Car Allowance

Reporting to the Signalling Testing Manager, the work is a mixture of site-based and home-based on projects and as such there may be a requirement to lodge away for extended periods of time and to work unsocial hours. You must hold a full UK driving Licence to be considered for this role.
This role will primarily be based in the south east of the country and will ideally be a candidate with 6-10 years experience within the rail signalling industry.
You must have previous experience working on Network Rail Infrastructure; this role would not be suitable for someone who has worked solely on London Overground/Underground.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take overall responsibility for the testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems for Complex Works Testing of Signalling projects.
2. Undertake Work Package Management responsibilities on Projects. Identify resource requirements for your projects and ensure competent staff are utilized, briefed regarding their work and responsibilities, and that any necessary documentation is completed.
3. Ensure Audits are undertaken in accordance with the Project Quality plan.
4. Manage effective utilization and allocation of project-based testing resources both internal and subcontracted.
Requirements:
1. Must Hold NR Certificate of Competency.
2. Must Hold IRSE License- Tester in Charge and Functional Tester IRSE License 1.3.190 / 1.3.170 or have held in the past few years.
3. Must Hold Mod1 TIC.
4. Thorough and detailed knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook. Appreciation and awareness of principles and systems testing requirements.
5. A1 IRSE assessor for all Testing Categories except Principles and Systems Testing (desirable). Good knowledge of Railway Group and NR company standards requirements.
6. Full Clean UK Driving License.
