Key
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the
kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
* Managing kitchen staff, including hiring, training,
and scheduling
* Maintaining a happy and engaged team through 1:1
meetings, incentives and recognition
* Inductions for all new starters in line with
company procedure
* Manage the Junior Sous Chefs to ensure all training
is to company standards
* Mentor any new members of the team, to ensure a
positive working experience
* Ensuring that all kitchen staff follow food safety
and sanitation guidelines and kitchen procedures
* Managing food inventory and ordering supplies as
needed
* Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly
maintained and repaired as needed.
* Collaborating with other kitchen staff and
restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely
manner
* Handling customer complaints or issues related to
food quality or service
* Treat everyone with respect and remain
calm at all times
Required Qualifications &
Experience:
* 2 year’s experience in a similar role
* Team management experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised
and capable of handling multiple tasks
* A proactive self-starter who can work independently
with good judgement and minimal direction
