Role purpose As the Software Sales Executive for the Anglosphere, your primary purpose is to drive the successful adoption of GitLab within enterprise and mid-market organisations across the UK & Americas. With a focus on strategic sales planning and client engagement, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and establishing GitLab as the preferred solution for DevOps and collaboration needs. By building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, you will contribute to the growth of our business, exceeding sales targets, and positioning Eficode as a leader in the dynamic and competitive enterprise software landscape. Your strategic vision, sales overlay skills, coupled with a results-driven approach, will be essential in shaping the success of GitLab in the Anglosphere. Role responsibilities Your main responsibilities will include (but won’t be limited to): Strategic Account Leadership : Act as the primary point of contact and the face of GitLab for large, strategic prospects across the Anglosphere, guiding them through both pre- and post-sales processes. Sales Enablement & Opportunity Generation : Enable the core sales teams to identify new business opportunities and generate qualified leads, ensuring pipeline accuracy based on solid evidence. Account Ownership & Coordination: Take full ownership of your GitLab accounts, ensuring successful product rollout, adoption, and strong coordination with both engineering and support teams. Sales Activities & Relationship Building: Lead prospecting efforts, develop opportunities, and travel to key accounts to build relationships and close high-value deals, strengthening ties with both new prospects and existing customers. Documentation & Reporting: Document key buying criteria, processes, next steps, and account owners while maintaining accurate sales reports and forecasting activity. Market Knowledge & Strategy: Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape, assisting the sales team with customer needs and recommending marketing strategies tailored to GitLab’s offerings. Consultative Sales Approach: Leverage a consultative approach to discuss business challenges with prospects, create tailored GitLab solutions, respond to RFPs, and develop strategic account plans that address customer needs. Success factors You will make a great match for this role if you have: Enterprise Sales Success: A proven track record in driving successful enterprise software sales, ideally within the DevOps or collaboration tools sector. Market Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the UK&I and Americas enterprise markets, backed by a strong network of established connections in these regions. Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding ability to simplify and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, paired with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Strategic Business Development: Demonstrated expertise in identifying and seizing revenue growth opportunities, including forging strategic partnerships and building lasting relationships. Stakeholder Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to keep all levels of the business informed and aligned on progress. Fluency in English: Native or near-native proficiency to ensure clear and precise communication. Desired skills and qualifications: It would be an added bonus if you have: GitLab Experience: Familiarity with GitLab or comparable DevOps and software development tools is a definite advantage. Networking Skills: A well-established network of industry contacts and relationships, ready to be tapped for business development opportunities.
