It all started back in 2007 when Loren agreed to Richards crazy dream, and they together purchased the Bulls Head in Repton. Fast forward 17 years and they have a thriving pub business. With 7 gorgeous sites, over 500 employees, an industry leading food & drink menu and just to be a bit different, 7 mascot alpacas. With no signs of slowing down, Richard and Loren are always on the lookout for their next project and would like to reach a portfolio of 20 pubs in the near future. What the role entails? Food safety is a number 1 priority across Chilled Pubs. You must support the Head Chef by ensuring compliance is not only followed by yourself but by your wider team to ensure we retain our 5-star food hygiene rating. Assist the Head Chef in managing the training of kitchen operations and food preparation. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques, ensuring the company specs are consistently followed. You will need to be comfortable and happy working both independently but also as part of the wider kitchen team. You will need to take ownership of your area, tracking orders and ticket times, but also work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficiency and smooth running to provide our guests with the best possible experience. The kitchen team will be required to work on different sections depending on business needs, its essential you have a good understanding of our full menu so you can confidently and efficiently support your team when required. Assist with stock control, stock takes, food orders and daily deliveries. Adhering to health and safety procedures in line with our company policies. Be confident in your abilities to communicate with the rest of the team, supporting with any development needs and mentoring. Supporting the Head Chef to achieve key targets, including labour and food production times whilst remaining focussed on quality. Who are we looking for? A passion for great food – before anything else, we believe it is important you’re a foodie – we love food and want to work with likeminded people that share our passion. A dedicated chef, driven to deliver high standards and quality, ensuring the food is made and presented to an exceptional level and kitchen cleanliness remains a top priority. Somebody with good leadership and communication skills, working effectively with the Sous Chef and being a key team player within the kitchen. Enthusiastic about your own personal growth and development. Somebody who naturally aligns with our values, which are being warm & friendly and genuinely ’guest-obsessed.’ An energetic person, driven to consistently provide a 'WOW' service for all our guests. Due to the high-volume environment, we require somebody who has at least 2 years of experience in busy fresh food kitchens, who has the ability to multitask and prioritize jobs effectively.
