Incredible Opportunity for a Seasoned Senior Data Engineer with strong PL/SQL or SQL and ETL skills to Create Solutions for Gathering Financial Performance Data for Analytical and Reporting Purposes.
This role is based in Galway, and this client is only considering candidates within commutable distance. It is a 12 months contract role.
This role is hands-on, involving understanding requirements, contributing to the development of specific product features, including provisioning datasets, creating consumption interfaces, building reusable components, and crafting resilient cloud-based services to provide insights.

Experience, Skills & Education:
1. Extensive experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development (expert level)
2. Expertise in data analysis
3. Experience in SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
4. Familiarity with logical data modeling and relational database design
5. Data movement and ETL experience would be beneficial (preferably Informatica)
6. Whilst the role is database focused, some experience in any of the following would be a plus: Object-Oriented Software development with an understanding of associated development languages, specifically Java and/or Python, Spring boot plus familiarity with ORM frameworks
7. Working experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous: AWS, Containerization, associated build and deployment CI/CD pipelines, Lambda development.
8. Unix scripting and AutoSys skills would be a plus
9. Data Warehousing knowledge would be advantageous
10. Snowflake experience would also be advantageous
11. Design of REST APIs and an understanding of microservice architectures and twelve factor application development would be a plus
12. Experience with a source control system
13. Experience of working within an Agile Scrum development environment
14. Strong communication skills and fluency in both verbal and written English are crucial.
15. A third-level qualification (Computer Science or an equivalent IT qualification).
