This award-winning stunning hotel is looking for an exceptional and accomplished Sous Chef to join and help lead the kitchen team.
As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, enabling the team to achieve the highest levels of food quality, standards, and service at all times - and a 4 Day Week!!!
Main Duties of this Sous Chef opportunity include:
1. Act as a deputy with all responsibilities as required.
2. Run an environment that is clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
3. Plan the day-to-day running of all sections of the kitchen effectively to meet the service standards.
4. Control, with the aid of the Head Chef, all the operating costs within agreed budgets set and order appropriate levels of food.
5. Assist and produce accurate stock takes.
6. Carry out quality checks on stock, produce, and dishes along with offering training, and understanding of the products to keep the team focused and allowing them to evolve as chefs.
7. Have a flexible ability to respond to business and client needs. Give full understanding and guidance to a colleague requiring assistance in a difficult situation, using a caring and supporting manner.
8. Manage rotas in accordance with business levels.
9. Ensure daily food preparation meets recipe and specification index i.e. size, quantity, and quality.
10. Attend all relevant meetings and ensure understanding of business throughout the hotel.
Requirements for this Sous Chef position are:
1. Previous experience within a similar role and environment.
2. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guild 7061/7062 or NVQ Level 2/3.
3. Experience in ordering systems and cost processes.
4. Hands-on team player.
5. Experience of training and coaching a team.

Should also possess NVQ level 1 and 2 or equivalent, and hygiene certificate.
You must either be working in or a resident in the United Kingdom for this position. You must be able to prove your Right to Work in the United Kingdom for this role. You must be a UK/EU Citizen and have ILR/PR status or hold a work permit/visa with at least 2 years remaining.
