Blue Arrow Derby are proud to be working in partnership with an establishment in the Derbyshire area who are looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef on a full time, permanent basis. Hours: 45 hours a week, working on 4 days on 3 days off rota between the hours of 10:30am - 9:30pm. Salary: Up to £35,000 My client is looking for a candidate who has previous experience working with fresh food and at a high volume as this establishment is based in the heart of one of Derbyshire's busiest towns. What will you be doing at Junior Sous Chef? General food preparation Previous experience as a cook Filling away deliveries Washing utensils and dishes Great communication and teamwork skills Cook all food to excellent quality Storing and sorting ingredients properly. Passion for food Ability to work under pressure Own chef whites and chef knives Ensuring food prep areas are clean in line with health and safety and food hygiene procedures. Skills required: Food hygiene level 2 (dated within the last three years) Previous experience as a Senior Chef De Partie/Junior Sous Chef Happy to clean any areas needed. Has excellent organisation and time-management skills Is able to use their own initiative and as work as part of a team Able to communicate/report any issues to the relevant people effectively Is hard-working, and reliable.
