Role Overview
The Executive Remuneration & Regulatory Reward Manager is a critical role within the HR management structure and integral to the delivery of all executive compensation and regulatory reward activities. Working closely with the Group Head of Reward, regional reward colleagues and Group Head of HR, the role holder will ensure the seamless delivery of all projects in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities
1. Play a key role in advising Remuneration Committees and senior management on remuneration policy, executive remuneration and regulatory requirements.
2. Work with internal and external partners to deliver strategic priorities, including Finance, Company Secretariat, Investor Relations, Legal and external advisors to ensure compliance with local regulations, legislation and alignment to corporate governance and best market practice.
3. Lead on the drafting and analysis of the Directors Remuneration Report, shareholder letters (if required) and AGM materials.
4. Work closely with Finance and Company Secretariat in providing the necessary information to the auditors to support their audit of the Group Company Accounts.
5. Lead on the drafting of all Remuneration Committee papers and support the Group Head of Reward on the delivery of other key projects, including remuneration policy design, including short and long term incentives, operation of share plans etc.
6. Lead on the delivery of all regulatory reward: including Material Risk Taker review for the UK and EU entities in scope.
7. Lead on the delivery of all regulatory submissions to the FCA and other regulatory bodies.
8. Support the implementation of a compensation system taking into account the regulatory requirements around the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
9. Lead on the review of the Group Remuneration Policy, malus and clawback policy and other ancillary policies / processes.
Experience / Competences
Essential
1. Previous experience in executive compensation and regulatory reward within a Financial Services or Consulting reward environment.
2. Experience of drafting Remuneration Committee papers.
3. Experience of drafting Directors Remuneration Report and other regulatory reports.
4. Experience of European and UK regulatory remuneration rules.
5. Understanding of Discretionary and all employee Share Plans.
6. Strong team player who is able to work with multiple teams to deliver projects.
7. Ability to prioritise, manage own time and adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
8. Ability to deliver concurrent projects, working to tight deadlines.
9. Effective oral and written communication skills.
10. Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
11. Ability to think strategically and identify solutions to complex issues.
