This lively award-winning gastro pub is currently seeking a creative and innovative Head Chef to take over the running of this busy, fast paced kitchen. It is an independent business, which is very much a destination venue with a superb food trade.

You should therefore have a real interest in current food trends and working with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced produce.There is a brigade of 3-4 chefs preparing modern British cuisine with European influences.
They have developed a kitchen garden where they grow their own vegetables, fruit, and herbs and have close ties to a local estate where they can utilise the wonderful local produce; alongside this they also encourage foraging so they can create a regularly changing menu, highlighting the seasonal changes.
As Head Chef you will have full responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen designing menus, sourcing suppliers, stock control, ordering and training and motivating your team.The ideal candidate will have good business acumen, excellent man- management skills and the ability to nurture the staff to get the best out of them.
It is a live out position and due to the pubs rural location, you would require your own transport, although you are only a few miles from a large town, with excellent amenities.
