The Role The purpose of this role is to drive business growth and customer satisfaction from existing customers across the MLL UK public sector customer base. This includes, but is not limited to, Local Authorities, Schools, NHS, Emergency Services and third sector organisations. The MLL core proposition is based on a wide range of network connectivity services ranging from dark fibre through broadband to microwave services with a range of supplemental value-add offers covering LAN and WiFi, voice and collaboration, applications and hosting and security services. The Desk Based Sales Executive will be targeted on delivering incremental sales to existing customers through the MLL Simple order process. Ideal Candidate For our Desk-Based Sales Executive - Inbound role, the type of candidate we are looking for is someone who has a keen interest in IT fundamentals who is a great communicator and is motivated to work towards sales targets. Responsibilities: Responding to order desk requests from existing customers Qualifying and understanding customer requirements Proactively offering new MLL propositions to customers Working with the order processing and solution architect to generate quotations. Following up quotations and closing opportunities with customers Ensuring orders are “clean” and ready for handover to the order processing team Develop a personal sales pipeline Monitor and regularly report on opportunity activity and progress through the myMLL Cherwell IT Management System – Achieve agreed Gross Margin (GM) and Sales Order Value (SOV) targets Work to an agreed set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Sales Steps Work closely with Client Managers, Service Managers and Project Managers to deliver an excellent MLL experience to our customers. Your areas of knowledge and expertise: Sales experience would be an advantage Good communication skills, both verbal and written (telephone and email are the main communication tools) A good understanding and an interest in Telecoms Some experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems would be an advantage Good skills in Microsoft word and excel Efficient organization and prioritization of tasks. Resilience in meeting daily or weekly targets. Meeting deadlines and managing time effectively Working effectively with other team members and departments.
